Untitled Poem

I long to see You running my way,
With outstretched arms.
I thirst for the sound of Your voice
Calling out my name.
I need to feel the rhythm of Your heartbeat
Hammering out my pain.

Cause when I am anxious,
You bring me peace.
And when I am sad,
You give me a smile.
And when I am hurting,
You comfort me.
Every time I pray for help,
You carry my burdens
And everything seems okay, for a while.

Don't Forget!

New Life

"Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." --Romans 6:3,4 (NIV)

I finally took the plunge last week at a church member's pool and got baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The blessings God showers us with after a simple act of faith are so awesome! I have had a new level of peace this week and have felt closer to the Lord as a result. It has served as a reminder to me that, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." --James 1:17 (NIV)

This week I have seen a lot more butterflies than usual. If you read this blog occasionally, you probably know that I LOVE watching butterflies. They are the beautiful result of the metamorphosis of a somewhat plain looking caterpillar. I believe the extra presence of my fluttering friends was God reminding me of the verse from Ephesians 6 listed above. In fact, I felt like it was a promise from God that this is just the beginning of an amazing new journey for me.

Lord, thank you for Your faithfulness to bless those who seek to obey Your Word. Help me to keep stepping out in faith, for Your glory!
