One Body

"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free— and we were all given the one Spirit to drink." -- 1 Corinthians 12:12,13 (NIV)

This photo reminded me of the above verse. To me, this flower appears to be raising it's petals to the heavens in worship. As I examined the picture, I noticed many tiny parts pointing up to the sky and "working together" to present an extremely beautiful offering to the Lord. It seems like such a simple thing. It's just a tiny plant, but it brought joy to my heart to see it. If something so small can bring a bit of happiness to my life, I can't even fathom how much it would touch the Father's heart to see all of His children rise up to give Him glory, together in unity.

Lord, thank you that You are worthy of all of our praises! Forgive us for trying to live our own lives apart from each other and apart from You. Help us to live as one body, according to Your will, so that You can receive all of the glory and honor that You deserve!
